What reach measures

Reach is about distribution, not volume. A slot with 10,000 bets all from one casino has narrow reach. A slot with the same 10,000 bets split evenly across five casinos has wide reach. Both have the same total volume, but the second slot tells you something the first cannot — players at multiple, independent venues are choosing it. That broader signal is what the REACH axis on the SlotRadar radar captures.

The metric distinguishes slots played at most casinos from slots that happen to be popular at one. It is one of six axes the radar reports for every slot, and it is specifically designed to be hard to manipulate. A casino can flood a single slot with promotion-driven traffic; it cannot easily make that slot popular across the rest of our network at the same time.

How reach is computed across casinos

For each slot we look at how its 24-hour bet activity is distributed across the casinos in our network. We compute an effective casino count using the inverse Herfindahl index — a standard concentration measure. If a slot is active at 6 casinos with perfectly equal shares, the effective count is 6. If 90% of its volume comes from one casino and the other 10% is split across the rest, the effective count is close to 1 — narrow reach despite appearing on multiple venues.

The leaderboard combines two things: how many casinos a slot is genuinely active at, and how concentrated the volume is at the top one. A high reach score requires both. The radar narrative on each detail page surfaces this in plain language — something like "active at 5 of 6 casinos, top casino holds only 28% of volume — hard to manipulate at this spread." Wide reach means the signal is robust.

Why wide reach matters as an integrity signal

The casino industry is full of synthetic activity — bot traffic, promotion-driven spikes, or cherry-picked feeds designed to make specific slots look popular. Single-casino metrics are vulnerable to all of those. Cross-casino reach is much harder to fake because it requires independent venues, each with their own player pools, all converging on the same slot.

That makes reach a check on the rest of the SlotRadar leaderboard. A slot ranking high on payout, popularity, AND reach is a strong real signal — multiple independent casinos are seeing the same demand and the same performance. A slot ranking high only at one casino on a single dimension warrants more scrutiny. Reach is the dimension that tells you which signals to trust.

What to look for as a player

Use this list to find slots played at most casinos — titles with broad, durable demand across the crypto casino ecosystem rather than slots driven by a single venue's promotional push. Wide-reach slots tend to be safer picks for cross-casino comparison shopping: you can find the same slot at multiple venues and pick the casino with the best terms.

Pair reach with the popular and best-payout dimensions to triangulate. A slot at the top of all three is firmly established. A slot popular but with narrow reach is a single-casino phenomenon. A slot with wide reach but middling popularity is steady but unspectacular — often an older title with durable cross-network appeal.

How rankings update

The reach leaderboard refreshes through the same tiered rollup as the rest of SlotRadar, with the underlying distribution recomputed regularly. Because reach measures spread rather than spike, it is one of our slower-moving dimensions — a slot's reach pattern usually changes only when a new casino adds it, an existing casino drops it, or one venue's volume becomes dramatically dominant. Stable ranks here are a feature, not a bug.
